Engr. Yetunde Mariam Aladeitan Phd (FNSE)

Yetunde holds a bachelor’s degree from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. In pursuit of further education, Yetunde attended the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland and graduated with a Master of Science degree in Oil and Gas Engineering.

Dr. Aladeitan worked briefly at Amazon Energy Limited (an oil and gas servicing firm based in Lagos) between 2006 and 2007. She joined the Faculty of Engineering, University of Abuja in 2008 as a lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering. She obtained a Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from the African University of Science and Technology, Abuja and works as a Managing consultant at Kleinsfield Environmental Services Limited.

Mrs. Aladeitan is a member of several professional bodies which includes; • Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers • Society of Petroleum Engineers • Corporate member of The Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers • Member of the Society of Women Engineers • American Institute of Chemical Engineers • Member of The Association of Professional Women Engineers • Member of the Nigerian Institution of Environmental Engineers

Dr. Aladeitan is a Chartered Engineer with the Council or the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). She has over 15 academic publications in high impact journals to her credit and has made several presentations home and abroad. She is a very active member of NSE Abuja branch and served as the Assistant Technical Secretary of the Branch from 2017-2018. She further rose to become the first female General Secretary in the history of the Branch in 2018 and has served at different capacities in various committees.

She is an ardent STEM advocate for young girls and is very active in APWEN where she has also served in various capacities at the National and Branch levels. She was the Technical Secretary of APWEN Abuja Branch from 2015-2017. She is currently running a masters program in Engineering management at the University of Hull Uk. A recipient of various awards in several professional bodies like NSE, SPE and APWEN.
