Onah Dough
Dough ONAH, is the present Co-chair @Afrika Youth Movement, (AYM) Nigeria Hub. AYM is
the largest Youth led Pan-African movement in Africa with over 10,000 members from over 44
countries.
He presently serves as the Regional Driver / Ambassadors’ coordinator for the UNESCO GAPMIL
YOUTH COMMITTEE across 3 regions (Africa, Asia Pacific, and the Arab States). In 2020, he
worked as a co-lead / project coordinator for the UNESCO Awareness-raising Campaign on
Migration and COVID-19 in West and Central Africa. Project: "Empowering Young People in
Africa through Media and Communications", implemented in eight (8) countries in West and
Central Africa: Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea-Conakry, Mali, Niger, Nigeria and
Senegal.
Dough ONAH holds a Masters Degree in Forensic Science from the University of Ibadan and
works as a researcher in the University of Calabar where he doubles as a career advisor with a
focus on up-skilling final year student and preparing them for the Job Market in a
"bEMPLOYABLE" initiative, working with over 6000 students annually.
Dough ONAH is a fellow of the Nigerian School on Internet Governance and serves on the
review team for Nigeria’s first Digital rights and freedom bill led by the Paradigm Initiative which
has had a first reading at the National Assembly. Dough also serves on the "Youth Non-State
Actors Working Group On the 9th Assembly Nigerian Constitution Review Process” led by the
Pan African Centre for Social Development and Accountability.
