Ishola Akinlade Salami

Ishola Akindele Salami is a Doctoral Degree holder in the area of Early Childhood Education cum Preschool and Primary Mathematics. He is a Childhood Education Advocate and currently the Head of Early Childhood Education Unit, Department of Early Childhood and Educational Foundations, University of Ibadan.

He is a MacArthur Foundation Visiting Scholar to Bagwell College of Education, Kennesaw State University, Atlanta Georgia, USA. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Fort Hare, South Africa. He has presented academic papers in national and international conferences and workshops.

He also has over 50 publications to his credit; most of which can be found on Google scholar.

One of Dr. Ishola Akindele Salami's notable invention is a hip-hop song to solve mathematical problems aimed at enhancing knowledge of pupils at the primary school foundational level following dismal performances in mathematics examinations. The song which is tagged MATMUSIC comprises of tracks of songs with Mathematics ideas, principles and procedures as the messages.

According to him, a person who can solve simple mathematics problems can quickly reflect on how to solve societal problems. His skills and expertise are on Teaching and Learning, Pedagogy, Curriculum Development, Teacher training and Educational Evaluation.
