Chidimma Ijele Chikwelu

Chidimma Ijele Chikwelu is very passionate about teaching and social change. She holds a Nigerian Certificate of Education in English Language and Primary Education Studies from the FCT College of Education,Zuba. A Bachelors degree in Primary Education Studies from the University of Abuja. Masters in Early Childhood Education in the Department of Early Childhood and Educational Foundation, University of Ibadan.

She was posted to Nasarawa state for the compulsory National Youth Service scheme where she was awarded Best Corp Member for batch C, 2012/13 by the former Governor, Tanko Al Makura for her services to the community under the Millennium Development Goals program. She has experience teaching in primary and secondary schools and was a tutor for students of the National Open University of Nigeria. She is very passionate about Sustainable Development Goals4. Her advocacy on education, social change, and justice has taken her on seminars and conferences across the globe. She is a Young African Leaders Initiative Fellow,Accra 2016, and Gamel A. Nasser Transformational Leadership Fellow,Egypt 2019.

The founder of the Military Veterans Family Care Initiative. An initiative created in 2016 to serve the military veterans and the fallen heroes who served the country and their families through health care interventions, skills acquisition training, and education for their children. The Nigeria Hub Coordinator of the Afrika Youth Movement from 2017-2019. AYM is a Pan African and action-oriented movement led by young Africans based in the continent and the diaspora that strives to promote participation, development and leadership for young Africans to accomplish their rights to equality, peace and social justice.

A board member of the IntelligentsiaOrb Worldwide Ltd. An initiative of a group of alumni of the Lagos State University that engages in scientific research, publication of intellectual materials, and transforming ideas to solution for development.

A nature and arts enthusiast. As a horticulturist and business woman, she is the CEO of Ijele Inventive Services Nig. Ltd. Her articles and views have been published in blogs and books such as Dissidents Of The International Left, by Andy Heintz featuring interviews of renowned intellectuals-Noam Chomsky and other notable academics, philosophers and human right activists across the globe.

She is the co-founder of the Child,Teen to Adult Academy. CTA, an initiative of concerned Nigerian professionals bringing their global experiences towards developing well-rounded young African change agents. The target is children and adults aged between 5 and 25. While CTA is rooted in Nigeria, it is driven by a broader sense of African development, one that is committed to moulding African talent and resource for effective homegrown solutions.
